Teaching and Learning

As part of the course, you will receive one-to-one tutorial support, participate in lectures, seminars, workshops and other practical sessions and, in some modules, online learning. You will also have the opportunity to create collaborative projects. The programme also provides encounters with a wide range of professional creative technologists, innovators and mentors.

Staffing

The programme draws on a range of staff expertise from three Faculties, Art & Design, Computing Sciences and Engineering and Humanities as well as staff from the IOCT. Full-time staff will be supplemented by visiting speakers, lecturers and practitioners. These will vary from year to year, reflecting current developments in the creative technologies.

Assessment

The aim of the assessment mix is to encourage insights that allow you to deepen your understanding of your own research area as well as to gain a critically informed contextual understanding from a wider perspective. Assessment is through coursework and/or examination, depending on the modules you choose. Modules employ a variety of assessment methods including presentations, groupwork and collaboration, creative assignments, essay assignments, practice-based critical commentaries/reports, research projects, examinations and technical application of computer-based tools.
