Multidisciplinary Performance

MovementThis project takes the form of a series of smaller performance projects that I am working on in collaboration with the Dance Artist in Residence at Ulster University. Each of these smaller projects looks at increasing audience accessibility to contemporary live art through developing collaborative multidisciplinary performances that happen outside traditional theatre venues.

My role is as co-director, composer and performer.

Liaison (Nov 2007-Feb 2008)

30 minute multi-discipline show created through collaboration between composer, choreographer and writer. Premiered at Sandino's Bar, Derry

Alibi (May-June 2008)

60 minute 30 minute multi-discipline show created through collaboration between composer, choreographer and writer. Premiered at Sandino's Bar, Derry and then at the Omach Theatre, Derry. Other performances are currently being arranged.

I would like to invite my co-collaborator from Ulster University to the IOCT in August to work on a short research project together, to help strengthen this partnership. I hope that this project would focus on experimenting with the use of different technologies to increase audience engagement with live multidisciplinary performance. We then hope that this will turn into an Arts Council funding bid to develop a new show.
