BM: There's one other word as well which turns up quite a lot though it's not often in Techniquest's stuff directly which is this kind of word edutainment.
HF: Yes [((laughing))]
BM: [I was wondering what you think of that word.]
HF: Oh::: it's quite horrible. ((laughs)) But it's, it's really difficult because - you've got entertainment is it pure entertainment is it Disney? Well no it's obviously not Disney. Is it educational? Well yes it's educational but - educational means that it's - implies school it implies boring it implies dry so it's not. So I can see where the word edutainment has come from. I think it's really, quite an ugly word and I don't - really try not to use it, very much. But, you know, it's definitely around. The thing is - visitors I don't think they would ever use the word edutainment but they would associate Techniquest as being an educational establishment in the same way they would associate a museum as being an educational establishment. You don't go to a museum just to have fun. You take your kids to the museum to - hope they, learn something about their history or you know, whatever the museum is about.
