BS: Do you think there's a difference between physical interaction and mental interaction?
HF: Yes. I think - you can physically engage with something and not mentally engage with it completely. Um - in a hands-on science centre you're less likely to mentally engage first and then physically engage. You know if you're thinking about a level of you know, you can just physically well - first of all you can just walk past it and ignore it. Second you might take a look and go "not interested." Which means that you've mentally engaged to a certain level. Then you can go "Oh I'm gong to approach this and I'm going to press a few buttons or I'm going to pull a few levers or I'm going to see." And it's only then that you go right, does it intrigue enough that you then stay or you might just say oh that's pretty and off you go. So, there is a difference and I think they're very intimately linked but I don't think there's a sure fire way of knowing how one leads to the other and which comes first.
