BS: Shall we move on?
JC: yeah I'm struggling with that one.
BS: The last question's a bit of a hypothetical question really but if you could create any exhibition or any show what would you do?
JC: Do anything at all?
BS: Yeah.
JC: Um - as far as an exhibit is concerned, it's not my idea it's one that a colleague came up with that I would love to see in action and that's to have a cage in the middle of the floor with danger do not touch all around it and a big red button - that kind of sets all the alarms - sets off a great big alarm everyone does it. Every time it's set up. And I would love to put that there and see what happens. [>Sub] I think that - I don't know whether that's science or just human nature but it would fascinate me just to see whether that - I have a feeling it would go off fairly regularly.
Um - I love that idea as an exhibit. As far as shows go (6.9) I like - the idea of shows with a sense of the ridiculous? Um - and I like the materials madness. It's kind of slightly off the wall it deals with everything the way it's supposed to - and I quite like the idea of having these sort of - home - home-based shows but sort of giving it a weird slant. Um - whether it's just that you pull ice cubes out of a bag and start doing things with ice cubes or just take, yeah, the idea that you just take a shopping bag in with you and sort of - or somebody gives you a shopping bag before you go in and it's like "oh right what can you do with - what do we know this does? What do we know that does?" and that sort of - something fairly spontaneous rather than prescriptive, I suppose but I wouldn't be able to give you a direct topic.
