BS. How did you actually become involved in Techniquest?
CW Well I knew - when I was teaching I knew that it was time to,
to move on really and to look for other things. For one thing it was just
- wearing me down a little I was getting a bit weary like most primary school
teachers do. And I also found it a challenge, there was certain areas, certain
subjects that I wasn't very interested in, like geography and art and, a few
different things. And I knew to get to sort of become a real expert primary
school teacher I'd need to develop the areas that I wasn't that interested
in. So, I was just looking really for any possibilities. And looking in the
papers every week. And there was a job which was actually a job share, for
the primary school programme manager here at Techniquest. And I'd - when I
was in college I'd done science as my sort of major subject in, in college
when I was doing my teacher training, and I was coordinating science in the
school so I. Science was sort of my main subject I was doing anyway. And I
looked at it and I thought well if that was full time I would go for it. And
then I thought, well I'll push the boat out and decided to go for it anyway
and thought I could do some supply teaching. And basically I got taken on
part-time in school and part-time here initially. And then, gradually sort
of different projects came up here until I was taken on full time here. And,
and the workload's increased as we've run more and more things so they've
- so now I'm doing the primary school programme manager. Basically there's,
Sarah as well so there's one and a half people now on the job. So that was
one job, sort of 6 years ago.
