BS Would you say that other science centres are targeted at families in the same way?

DB Many science centres try and target, family groups. Many science centres try and target the teenage group. If you, if you look at just the design of many of the - @Bristol just down the road, perfect example. ((pause)) The model that was created within Techniquest styling and the reason for going for the bright colours is that it is timeless. Your stainless steel, following popular design will change. Next year it won't be stainless steel and glass it'll be something else. They've always, always been the high-tech materials, I guess, but you do, you know, one of our criticisms based at the level of Techniquest is, "Oh it's all bright colours, it's all Fischer-Price type stuff, you're creating a, a visual appeal to the younger - age group." I think, you do initially but many of the exhibits have a lot more depth- than their kind of, brightly coloured case, shows. But I think part, part of the reason that we are successful, is that blend of depth but attractiveness and - attracting that sort of age group. Because even if you're a bit older, ok you might be turned off in your teenage years but, when you're a bit older still you don't care really what it looks like so much. You care about the content, and if, if you can get the content right I think, it's the right sort of vehicle. But many people have not directly copied it because they feel "Ooh we don't want to look like Techniquest." But I think as a vehicle for doing what we're trying to achieve, it's actually, the right blend.
