About the interviewee
Heath has been involved with Techniquest since its beginning. He originally worked at Cardiff University as an experimental officer.
About the interviews
We recorded 12 face-to-face interviews with members of staff representing a wide range of occupations at Techniquest. The intent of the interviews was to elicit their insights about the production of their area of expertise. The interviews were guided by an aide-memoire but the subjects were free to discuss their own interests. We chose to audio-record rather than video-record the interviews because we felt that a more 'traditional' form of audio-recording would be more appropriate to a mode of fieldwork that stressed the elicitation of reflections.
