BM: Just to follow up on those lines there, you were discussing how you would like to see science viewed in wider society what would you say Techniquest's biggest contribution towards achieving that is, or could be?
TS: I think it - it presents - an - easy face of science. And easy is - the word that I would want to encompass it is entertaining. It is non-threatening. It shows that you are able to get something out of it whereas otherwise you might have thought, no this is not the kind of thing for me. I'm not a scientist. It's got maths in it. It's gobbledygook. It's the thing for anoraks only not for me. And I think that we take away the fear and replace it with something which makes it interesting and acceptable - um - surprising - quite exciting sometimes. And it is that kind of aspect of it that I think we are able to do. And I think that science centres up and down the land are probably doing the same kind of thing with greater or lesser success. I think we do it here with an enormous amount of success. Because of the wide-spread audience that we're able to, to reach. And so I, I would say that this is a good enterprise. It's something which is worth giving effort to and worth putting money into.
