Techniquest
'family tree'
Claire's tour begins in the staff room where we are shown the TQ 'family
tree' (a wall chart depicting who's who in TQ). She then takes us to
the areas of Techniquest that she is primarily involved with as the
primary education director... (Notes from 30/01/03)

It's
electric meeting
The team are trying to pick the logo for the "It's electric" summer
theme and the "When lightning strikes" show. They are looking at some
potential designs that have been printed out on to a piece of paper.

Offices
and workshop
We move round a lot so it's hard to take notes. Darren takes me to the
production team office and introduces me to other members of the team
including Ned the graphic designer. Darren wants information about the
type of research that I am doing (...) Darren is unsure about the signs.
He thinks that they have built it to the wrong proportion. He takes
a picture with a digital camera.(...)On the way back Darren tells me
that he is unsure about the quality of the work. He asks me what I think.
When he gets back to the office he uses his digital photo to check the
proportions of the new sign against the proportions of the TQ logo.
He gets Ned to do this for him. It turns out that the proportions match.
