BS: Could I ask one - Zoe why . . . What do you imagine being a scientist is? If you're a scientist, what would you do?
Vi: I would like to draw and (that)I would like to grow up and a scientist really.
((interviwers talk over each other and Zoe continues on her own train of thought))
Vi: I would like to draw a giraffe and an elephant uh and . . . make stuff because I'm good at that.
El: She would like to draw a desert.
Vi: And I like drawing um - I like making stuff. I made a vase for my mum, with metal, with a - real flower. And um I made a a real a plastic doll for my mum.
ER: [So when you, sorry]
Ch: [You made um:: ] a starfish didn't you.
Vi: I made [( )].
Ch: [( )].
ER: So when you do science in class, what do you do?
Ch: We do lots of things.
Vi: We do lots of things.
EL: [we do maths]
Ch: [we made um ] cars once didn't we.
ER: Some cars. What were you doing with the cars.
Ch: Um=
El: =we uh just had a paint their four wheels. Miss said "don't get all paint over you" and we did.
Ch: All of us did
Vi: [I had the most ]
El: [Yeah we had and we had] and um - we got told off
Ch: ( ) was black, wasn't it.
El: yeah. It was all black.
Ch: because we were painting the wheels black.
