Sarah introduces show
Sarah stands mid stage, Claire to her right. Sarah introduces Claire and Maire. Sarah and Claire use exaggerated gestures to mime pushing and pulling. Sarah asks the children if they have ever been pushed and pulled in a playground. She tells the children that she wants them to have a go at feeling a push and a pull. Sarah and Claire demonstrate how to do this.
Sarah pushes and pulls a toy monkey on a skateboard
Claire brings a toy monkey, sitting on a skateboard, onto the stage. The children laugh. Volunteers come on stage to push and pull the monkey. Sarah and Claire demonstrate other ways to start, stop, slow and speed up the monkey. Sarah attaches a sail, made out of a helpers' green shirt, to the monkey's skateboard. She tries to blow the sail with her mouth, but when that doesn't work, she blows it with a hairdryer. As the monkey moves across the stage, we hear the children laughing and stamping their feet.
