Creative Sound

ForestThe Creative Sound project is a collaborative project between Dr Rob Weale (MTI/CEPA) and LOROS (the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice). The purpose is to evaluate the therapeutic potential of listening to environmental soundscapes (sound recordings of various environments, e.g. beach, rainforest, dawn chorus, etc. presented in a surround-sound situation) for patients receiving palliative care.

Several sessions have been completed with significant success and a preliminary written evaluation of this initial phase of the project is underway.
