BS: Do you think that since you've been working here that you've developed a greater understanding of science?

DB: Yes, because I was a sociologist before I came here. I did, I failed A-level physics ((laughs)). That was the last time I did geography geology and physics for A-level. I failed A-level of physics and most of the stuff I've learned, I've picked up since I've been here. And because I've been here quite a long time, I've picked up certain things. Because I did the planetarium for a long time I used to look up things on the Internet and learn quite a lot about them. Because I don't do the planetarium so much now, I think - you tend not to keep up - quite so much in the areas you're not directly involved in. So what I'll do now is if I know I'm doing a show on sport or something and I'm not sure of something I'll look it up on the Internet and, and, or ask somebody and confirm what I'm doing. Because there are people around here and if you're not sure, there's always people around you can go and ask and you'll say "well how does this work? Or how does that work?" and they'll explain it to you, you know. So I think, it has helped enormously I think you know. You know, I - sometimes you can fool people to think you're actually a scientist now. ((laughs)) So it does make, it has made a huge difference the amount of science I've learned since I've been here.
