BS: Who would you normally go to if you've got a scientific question?

DB: It depends on what it is and how much time you've got. Because some people have got quite a wide knowledge but you know if you go to them, and sit down, and talk to them you're going to be 20 minutes and other people you can go to them and they'll explain it in 5 minutes. But if it depends on some particular area. Also there's some themes that I say "no I'm not going to do that" because I, I've done the occasional DNA for the public in the past but I say look I'm not doing DNA because I don't understand it and I don't feel comfortable in doing it because I can't actually go out and do something you don't feel comfortable in doing, for the simple reason - if you don't know what you're talking about - if you don't know what you're talking about how're you supposed - to explain it to people, you know, but, I think that although I failed A-level physics because I did physics, it seems to be more common sense to me than DNA, you know. And you can tend to pick up on that a lot more easily you know. And some shows I could go, like I haven't done chemistry because I've - because, because of the sorts of things we do in the chemistry show there has to be technician there because we make liquid oxygen and things like that. There has to be a technician there. Because I've seen the show so many times, I feel like I could quite happily go out and do a - a chemistry show now as long the questions didn't get too deep, you know. I could understand enough of it now to go and do a chemistry show. I tend to say to people I'm happy to do these shows I'm not happy to do those those sort of shows. And - they're, they're quite happy to accept that, you know, because they tend to do quite a lot of shows anyway.
