BS: Could you just tell me a little bit about what your present job entails?
DB: Um init- I'm - in charge on a day to day basis of the education areas, which covers the Planetarium the Lab and the Science Theatre. My main responsibility is for the Science Theatre. And I'm line manager for Jill who does most of the stuff in the lab, setting up the lab, and Steve who sets does a lot of stuff in the Planetarium. Um - a lot of our day - the other parts we do is I do, presentations, um I help out in the insets - so there's a lot a fair amount of time taken up in presentations and things. Then we have to set up all the - themes. We set up the Science Theatre the Planetarium and the lab for the various themes that are coming on. And I mean I do I tend to oversee all the health and safety for the education department. And it's a lot of sort of setting up and taking down, you know. There's lots of bits and pieces, sort of thing. But - whenever somebody says what do you do you always never remember it all. That's why I wrote it down for you because ((laughs)).
So - and then um - let's see what see what I can think. It's mainly actually it's the just making sure that all the technical stuff to do with the - those three areas run, and then I get involved in the brainstorming for new shows and bits and pieces like that, you know, according to what I've done in the past. Because I've done quite a lot with the under 5's I do, quite a lot of those sorts of things as well.
