BM: Given that these all the approaches that Techniquest takes to communicating science what would be the strengths and what would be the weaknesses?
HF: The strengths and weaknesses of Techniquest as a way of communicating science?
BM: Mmm.
HF: Well - I think - its strength is that, is that it's fun and that the person, the visitor is not forced to do anything is completely self guided so they can choose what they want. The weakness is that - um - that you might find that the person doesn't know how to use an exhibit because everyone approaches things differently. They may find an exhibit's broken and they don't realise it which means that they go away thinking "Oh that's me being stupid again." When it's not. When it's the exhibit's fault it's our fault. It also - like we talked earlier it doesn't actually - talk about what science is it talks about what - science is learnt and you know shows scientific phenomena so - you know there a pros and cons but I - and I - I don't know whether it's good or bad whether we should be doing more ((laughs))
