BS: Do you have any memories of your visit at age 9?

ER: Absolutely. Really clear memories. It's quite interesting because I was, I was 9. My brother was 11. And - Techniquest was very - in its very early stages. From what I can remember it was the October half-term, back in 1986, 86, yeah 86 I think it was. And - because nobody knew anything of Techniquest then - and - my father was a teacher in a different LEA. His half-term started a day before ours. So he came down into Cardiff to check it out to see that it was suitable. And then - I can remember him coming back when we came back from school he was like "Oh, we've got a real treat for you tomorrow." And we came down - I can remember quite clearly a lot of it. I can remember exhibits I can remember the lay out I can remember, kind of looking out from the windows. I can even - very sadly remember some of the labels. How sad is that. But I can remember it very clearly and speaking to my brother he can also remember it, quite clearly. Speak to my - mum and dad and they're like "Oh yeah we did go didn't we. Don't really remember much about it." So - it obviously made much more of an impression on us than it did on - on my parents.
