BS: Did you say something earlier on about when you were describing Techniquest you said you want people to enjoy science? Could you say a little bit more about why you said that.
DS: I think it's a shame that, that people - think that science is too, is too hard for them because it's not - because people think you have to be clever to do it or, or, they think that it's boring and I think both those things are basically untrue and- so - I think it's great that Techniquest and and lots of other people and places that are trying - to show people that it's not - beyond them and it's not - difficult and boring like they think it is. I suppose you would be thinking why is it important that people know it's not boring (4.7) I think they're missing out - and you could look at it - if you were going to step back from society and look at society as a whole, you need people to be doing science and maths and technology and engineering, because it's those kind of industries that are actually wealth creation industries. Although, you know, there's other things obviously, we could all become writers and and hopefully, sell lots of books and and improve the economy that way like J. K. Rowling, whatever. But - I think you need people to be doing science and engineering and stuff like that as well - just for the economy to be quite strong. But that's, that's not really my personal motivation I think that's just stepping back and looking at it.
