BS: Could you say a little bit more about the importance of the hands-on interaction with the exhibits.

DS: Yeah, it's interesting, people, people can obviously learn by reading and doing lots of other stuff but, generally, especially when they're in this environmen, they have to, I mean you have to have motivation if you're going to actually read, it actually is a certain amount of work whereas with interact- with hands-on exhibits, it's not so much hard work for them, it's. And also, I think it's a stronger learning experience because you read something you can forget it straight away or if you're told something you can forget it straight away. But if you actually experience it, it sticks. And, also I think the thing with science is the fact that if you read a science book it's quite, well it's, you know, quite boring I think for the majority of the population. But if you actually - see that science in action then you see how exciting it can be. So it's just like 10 times better if it's interactive than if it's not.
