BS: OK, could you sort of describe what's going to be in the theme.

DS: We begin with the theme of electricity as such, and we - decide on the theme name, generally with a large group of people from all different departments, interdepartmentally. And it was called It's Electric, which - was in the absence of - anything better. But it does describe what it does which is important and I think we wanted to avoid - the things about electricity that people know. People know - electricity is used to run their TVs and their kettles and they know that. And that's, to be honest, actually quite dull, generally. So we wanted to try - and do some aspects of the electricity that people don't know so much about. And - the Hub is the part of Techniquest more regularly than the rest of Techniquest, and it often the Summer theme is very much centred around the Hub and the Hub exhibits. So we've got 5 or 6 exhibits going to be going around the hub and they, actually take you right from, we start off with Lightning and voltage, so we've got a back panel which is about lightning and an exhibit on the front which is about voltage, kind of relating the two. And then you've got - I kind remember the exact order but there's like transformers and insulators um on the next 2 and then you've got, oh you've got, sorry electricity generation. So - looking at how electricity is generated. How it's stepped up and down with transformers. A bit about insulators in terms of protecting us from high voltage. Then there's a bit about power and efficiency in that. And then a bit about actually current what's within the wires. So it's kind of taking people right from hopefully sort of, electricity in nature right through to electricity down to a sort electoral level.

We've also got, 6 other mod box exhibits which are going outside the Hub, which are actually more about magnetism. Which is - very linked area but - - then again, it's also - you can have a separate theme about magnetism as such. But, we've got - quite a few exhibits which involve electro-magnetics in terms of motors and generators, so - we have gone into the magnet stuff with those exhibits. And then we've got our - probably what's going to be a key new exhibit because it's going to be quite big and popular, which is the Scalectrix - racing. Which I think we've called Electro Racing now.

And - the summer theme is kind of about trying to get new exhibits new permanent exhibits on the floor even though those themes doesn't last. It's trying to get some good exhibits and that is going to be a good exhibit in terms of people are going to really enjoy it you know. It's the kind of exhibit that kids will go "Yeah. I remember that. I really like that." It's also, you know I was talking earlier about what makes a good exhibit.
