BS: What would you say then is Techniquest's target audience?
DS: Oooh - I think it would be wrong to say that - it's particularly, say - if you say to them "Oh it's for 7 to 11 years" because, I know a lot of people who enjoy it who are either very old or you know. A lot of grandparents who, who will use the excuse that they're bringing their grandchildren but actually it's just because they like coming. And I know, I know families with toddlers and their toddlers absolutely love it. So - I actually try, I think I probably try and encourage anybody to come in and try it because - mostly the feedback I get is really good and I've never really had anyone who said "Ooh no, it's really boring." But - at the same time, in terms of the people who get the most out of it - we, I think - I think we probably target sort of - 6 to 12 year olds, 7 to 11's, that kind of age. I think they're the kind of age which - are ready to understand the science. But - still have the ability to investigate and play around. Whereas - some adults are really rubbish at that, because they're too scared, they don't want to touch things because they're afraid that they might get it wrong. Whereas the whole point of it is you're supposed to mess around with it, to try and find out what's right and discover for yourself. So - we do - in terms of exhibit design especially, we do kind of cater for that kind of kid - age - and that's the kind of age that we're levelling the - understanding at.
