BS: Do think there's any social factors? Like maybe gender or class that would affect whether somebody feels comfortable with science or not?
AS: I hope not. I really hope not. I don't know. It's difficult isn't it. I can't really talk for other people apart from myself but - I never - never found it I mean you now, doing biochemistry and and - newer sciences and genetics I think probably everywhere I ever worked - there were more women than men in the lab anyway. So I don't think it's gender I don't know. But then that's - that's you know, after we'd all done degrees and everything so maybe but having said that there was still the same number of people who, you know, probably more women again who did biochemistry. Gender, what was the other one you said? Culture?
BS: Could be class, race
AS: Class or race.
BS: Any social category.
AS: Um - I don't know. I really don't know. I've never thought about it like that.
