ER: Were there any toys that you didn't know how to use? Couldn't work out how to do it?
C: I knew how to - do it because
J: I knew - I didn't know how to do the treasure chest. That's one thing.
C: Well I didn't know how to do the one with the you know the thing in the corner by the window and you have to twist the handle - and the balls go up and that's where I got stuck on and read the instructions on that but I got stuck on that. But all the others I I could read so - I couldn't understand ((points))
ER: What did you get stuck on, exactly?
C: That thing where with the - when it goes up this little curve thing.
ER: You couldn't get it to go up or?
C: I could go to get up bec- - well I couldn't find out what it said on the end that. Just twisted the handles and they - and it went backwards instead.
ER: So you couldn't . . . [read the instructions]. Is that why?
J: [If you twist]=
J: =If you twist the handle backwards it comes forwards.
C: yeah but - in - then they go - it go down then John and then it'll go round the other way.
ER: Do you know why that was happening?. . .
C: Um cos it might have been wrong.
