BD: What about the show? What was your favourite bit about the show?
Cr: Um. When the monkey crashed into the wall. ((Laughs)
(( Bella talks to another child off camera:))
BD: What do you remember about the show?
(( As Jonathan is speaking the camera pans round to him))
Ja: When the shot the rocket up in the sky.
BD: Ahhh. Was that a push or a pull?
Jonathan: ###Push
BD: Ahhh. What about when they crashed the skateboard into the. [wall]. What was the, a push or a pull?
Cr: (Off Camera)). [Wall]. ((Camera moves round the frame Chris)). The monkey was on with a helmet. The helmet fell off when he was riding. And. And. And the wall went puffff. ((Chris pushes his hand forward)) like that, down. And he hit his head, you know, bricks fell on him.
BD: Did you like that bit as well? Did you like that bit. ((Camera pans round to Jonathan and James. Now what do you remember most about the whole show? What really sticks in your mind?
Ja: Um. ##### The same as him. ((James points to Jonathan)).
BD: The rocket. The rocket
BD: Can you [think].
Ja: Pinng. ((Moves his hand in a quick, upwards motion).
BD: That was a push. He said it was a push. Can you think of any other pushes that you saw?
Ja. ####((James tilts his head to the side for a few moments before answering)). Skateboard.###. And pulls now I think.
BD: Can you think of some pulls?
Ja: No, I know. I know a push as well. The alligator. He pushes the trigger down and then he moved across. ((James performs the movement of the alligator with his body)).
BD: That was a push wasn’t it. Who can think of any more pushes? Can you think of anymore pushes and pulls?
Ja: My pull is. Um. Pulling the skateboard.

BD: You know the show that you have just been in?
Ha: Yes
BD: Can you tell me what you remember about it?
Ha: ((Hannah puts her had up)) I can!
((The camera pans round to frame Chloe who is currently speaking off camera))
Al: It was good and it was fun and I liked the songs and toys.
BD: Yeah? You liked the song and toys. What did you remember about it?
Al: Um. When we was breaking up the dough.
BD: ((Laughs)) When you were breaking up the dough? Yeah? What do you remember most?
Ha: When they were breaking up the dough.
Al: Same as me. (Alisha runs in and out of the shot, from the left frame to the right.)
BD. You know when they were breaking up the dough? Was that a push or a pull?
Ha: Push[ ## and pull].
BD: [Can you think] of any other pushes?
Al: ((Alisha, who has been dancing in the background of the picture, moves forward. She pushes Chloe2 to the side.)) Hey that’s my space!
BD: Can you think of any pushes?
Ha: When you are pushing something? [And when]
Ad: [When you are pushing] the skateboard.
BD: [The skateboard.]
Al: ((Twists the lid off her bottle of pop)). [When you are pulling.] When your, your lid off.
BD: That’s. Is that a push or a pull?
(Alisha Nods)
BS: Can you show me that again?
BD: Show me that again.
Al: ((Alisha puts the lid back on the pop and twists it off again)).
Like that.
BD. Ah ha. Can you think of any others?
((Hannah puts her hand up))
Ha: When they’d pushing something?
BD: Like what?
Ha: Like ### Like a statue.
BD: Like a statue. Yeah! What would happen if you pushed a statue?
Ha: It would fall.
BD: And then?
Ha: It would break.
Ha: I pushed a statue before.
BD: Did you.
Ha: It was when my Mum. (…). Laughs.
BD: Can you think of any more pushes?
Ad: Um. Um. No.
BD: How about some pulls?
Ad: You pull your tooth out. When it’s wobbly.
BD: Has that happen to you, has someone pulled your tooth out? Have you pulled your tooth out?
((Adara is nodding))
BD: Hhhh.
Ad: Yeah. And my mum has.
BD: And your mum?
Al: [My daddy.] My daddy put a piece of string under the (…) and put it on my tooth and I pulled and it came out.
BD: <No>! Did he?
((Alisha nods))
