Bella: 'What does science mean?' Trevor: 'Hard work, school.' Neil E: 'Practical work, written work, and what goes on in the universe.'

Bella: (to the rest of family). 'What does science mean?' Katherine E: learning things. I'm not good at it.' Neil E: every thing we do is science. Trevor: Advancement.

Bella: 'Have you come for the educational value?' Katherine E: 'Yes, for him, we are all dull but we want him to learn things'. Gary: 'we don't want him to make the same mistakes as us'. Katherine: 'it's a fun way to learn' Gary: 'I have an older bro who has a PHD in chemistry, I have a 2nd class pass in plastering. It's the difference between us.'

Bella: 'Do you feel that difference as being important?' Gary: ' He is him and I am me. In fact he bores me to tears.'

Bella: 'Has science got relevance out of school?' Boy shrugs.

Bella: 'Let's talk about the show that you have just seen' Neil E and Katherine describe. Katherine says: 'it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It was like a panto. I thought it would be more futuristic. I learnt what not to do in a house during lightening.'

Bella: 'Gordan what did you learn?' Gary: 'Nothing that I didn't know. 'What I didn't know was how to make lightning yourself'. Trevor: 'If you stand on one leg for too long you fall over.'
