Fieldnotes

It is just after 9.30am and several of the TQ helpers (in the uniform green t-shirt) come down the stairs nearest to reception. They have just come from the morning briefing meeting. Two of them turn right at the bottom of the stairs and head into the exhibit hall. One goes to the 'dragon' exhibit and pushes a button on the front panel, to which the dragon responds with a jerky move of the leg. I move on to the piano. Four boys can be seen jumping on the keys paying little attention to the light. They quickly loose interest and run on to Heave Ho. Another trip turn up. This group seems much more composed. They are accompanied by a middle aged teacher. This seems like a slightly posher than the others. All are in matching uniform and the teacher has much more control over the group. All five of the children work as a team to follow the light on the piano... more, overview
