BS: What was it that attracted you about Techniquest?
DS: My link with them actually goes back further than that in terms of - I, grew up in Cardiff, so as a schoolchild I came here. I think that's true for various - members of staff here. They, they have experienced it as a visitor before they - came to work here. And then I did A-level technology and for my A-level technology I had to do a case study and they linked it in with our work experience. So I had to find a work experience placement that would give me the opportunity to do a project. And if that project could involve elements of design technology, then all the better. And - yeah so I contacted Techniquest and they said "yeah sure." So I actually spent, 2 weeks in the workshop here when I was 16. ((laughs)) And did a project with them. And then I kind of forgot about it though at the time I thought "Oh yeah, this would be a nice place to work." I went off to university. And it wasn't until I was coming up to sorting out my final year project and I kind of wasn't really sure what I wanted to do when - I wanted - because we did our projects they were full time for the last semester, I wanted - and it was individual - I wanted something that I was going to be - enthusiastic about, I didn't want to end up doing a project that I wasn't excited by. And - I just - was reminded that - I enjoyed working with Techniquest and I contacted them again and Heath was like "yeah great." Come and do your project with us. So, it just kind of - chain of events led to me working here - I suppose.
